Wages up 4.6%
The June quarter Average Weekly Earnings released by the ABS this week show Australian wages are up 4.6% for the year to June 2007. The new figure for Public and private sector adult ordinary time seasonally adjusted earnings is $1,091.20 per week. The rate of increase of 4.6% compares to the average over the previous 5 years of 4.8%pa.
