BOOK: The World According to Y
This book by Dr Rebecca Huntley published in 2006 is a great addition to our library on generations. It studies Generation Y's in Australia and what makes them tick. It's uniqueness is that it comes from someone born in 1972 at the first wave of Generation X and able to relate closely to what changed from Generation X to Y. Huntley brings a refreshing snapshot from 50 interactions with Y's volunteering their experiences as well as observations from her academic and political environments. It's an easy read with a valuable list of sources for anyone wanting to dig deeper on generation trends.
