WRITERS: John Hughes (aka Edmond Dantes)

To the extent that art imitates demographics, John Hughes has done it for the baby boomer family generations. Hughes is the screenwriter of a raft of popular family comedies from 1982 onwards, when the bulk of boomers had kids aged from 5 to 15. Hughes was born 18 February 1950 in Lansing, Michigan USA and started writing in the 1970s for National Lampoon magazine. His screen titles include:
