Reducing deaths from preventable causes could increase life expectency by 5 years in affluent countries and more than 10 years in developing countires, according to The World Health Report 2002 released yesterday by WHO.
The Report, represents one of the largest research projects ever undertaken by the World Health Organization. It measures the amount of disease, disability and death in the world that can be attributed to risks which have most impact on health.
